Responsible AI Policy

Published: August 26, 2026

Welcome to the official website of Shenzhen Chipsbank Percomm Technologies Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter "we" or "Chipsbank"). This Responsible AI Policy explains the principles and commitments that guide how we design, develop, and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities across our ultra-wideband (UWB) sensing chips, software, and solutions. For how we handle personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.

1. Our Commitment to Responsible AI

As a sensing-technology company, we build chips and solutions that help devices perceive the physical world — location, presence, gesture, and motion. Increasingly, these capabilities are paired with AI to turn raw signals into meaningful, safe, and useful experiences. We believe AI should serve people, earn their trust, and be developed with care.

This Policy sets out the standards we hold ourselves to. It applies to our own products and to how we expect our customers and partners to use the technologies we provide. Where a use conflicts with this Policy, we may decline to enable or continue supporting it.

2. Our Responsible AI Principles

Our work is guided by six core principles. They inform our research, our product decisions, and the safeguards we build into what we ship.

Fairness

We work to avoid unfair bias in our models and to prevent our technology from discriminating against individuals or groups on the basis of protected characteristics such as race, gender, age, religion, disability, or other legally protected attributes.

Transparency

We are clear about what our AI-powered features do and where their limits are. When content is generated or significantly altered by AI, we support clear disclosure to the people who receive it.

Accountability

We assign clear ownership for the AI systems we build, document how they are intended to be used, and take responsibility for addressing harms when things go wrong.

Safety

We design for robustness and fail-safe behavior. Our sensing and AI features are built to avoid causing physical, psychological, or financial harm, and to degrade gracefully rather than fail unpredictably.

Privacy

We minimize the data we collect, keep sensing on-device where possible, and process personal information only with a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards. Biometric data is treated with heightened protection.

Human Oversight

We keep meaningful human judgment in the loop for decisions that materially affect people's rights or well-being, and we avoid fully automated decisions where human review is required by law or ethics.

3. How We Put Principles Into Practice

Commitments are only meaningful when they are operational. We put our principles into practice through concrete steps across the product lifecycle:

  • Reviewing intended uses during design and flagging applications that fall outside this Policy before they are enabled.
  • Favoring on-device processing so that sensitive signals and biometrics are not transmitted or stored unnecessarily.
  • Testing for bias, accuracy, and robustness before release, and monitoring performance after deployment.
  • Providing documentation and, where appropriate, APIs that let customers build with human oversight and auditability.
  • Training our teams on responsible-AI expectations and maintaining an internal point of contact for escalations.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Chipsbank products, software, models, or services to build, train, or deploy applications that:

  • Violate applicable laws or the rights of others.
  • Develop or deploy lethal autonomous weapons systems or offensive military applications.
  • Cause, facilitate, or threaten physical, psychological, or financial harm to any person.
  • Generate or spread disinformation, impersonate real people, or defame others.
  • Present AI-generated or AI-altered content as human-made without clear disclosure.
  • Discriminate against or socially score individuals or groups on the basis of protected characteristics.
  • Target or exploit vulnerable people, including children and the elderly, to their detriment.
  • Enable mass surveillance, real-time remote biometric identification, or build biometric databases from imagery captured without consent.
  • Make fully automated decisions with significant legal or similarly serious effects on a person without meaningful human oversight.

5. High-Risk Use Cases

Some applications carry elevated risk even when lawful. We encourage customers and partners not to use our technology in the following high-risk contexts unless they have conducted a risk assessment, retained human oversight, and put appropriate safeguards in place:

  • Biometric identification and identity verification.
  • Critical infrastructure such as energy, transportation, and healthcare.
  • Education, admissions, and aptitude or ability assessment.
  • Hiring, promotion, and other employment decisions.
  • Credit, insurance, and other financial services.
  • Law enforcement, criminal justice, and judicial evaluation.

If you intend to use our technology in any of these areas, we ask that you contact us first so we can understand the use and advise on responsible deployment.

6. Data & Privacy Protection

Our sensing technologies are designed to be privacy-preserving by default. Where feasible, raw signals are processed on the device and only derived, non-identifying information leaves it. We collect the minimum personal data needed, retain it only as long as necessary, and protect it with technical and organizational measures.

Biometric information, where processed, is handled as a sensitive category under applicable law (such as the Personal Information Protection Law of China) and is used only with a clear, separate, and informed basis. We do not sell personal information.

7. Governance & Accountability

We maintain internal ownership for responsible-AI matters, including review of high-risk or sensitive uses, handling of incidents, and ongoing improvement of this Policy. Customers who believe a deployment violates this Policy are encouraged to report it to us.

We may suspend or terminate support for any use that we determine violates this Policy, applicable law, or the rights of others, consistent with our agreements.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Responsible AI Policy from time to time as our technology and the regulatory landscape evolve. When we make changes, we will revise the "Published" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Continued use of our website and products after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
