UWB smart lock with phone and watch

Four scenarios, one digital key

From home to campus, one Aliro UWB lock platform covers hands-free entry, temporary credentials and zone access.

Home lock

Phone, watch and UWB Tag unlock hands-free: even when your hands are full.

Hotel & residential

Temporary credentials are issued and revoked automatically: no key cards to replace.

Enterprise office

Identity rights and zone access are linked; one credential per user, with access to multiple doors and a traceable audit trail.

Smart campus

Digital identity and location work together across doors, gates and elevators.

Why a UWB hands-free lock

Six dimensions that define the next-generation entry experience.

Hands-free experience

Approach and the lock recognizes you: no phone fumbling, fingerprint press or card tap needed.

Secure ranging

UWB distance bounding plus Aliro secure authentication resists relay attacks: the door only opens for a key that is truly nearby.

Inside / outside detection

Distance + direction + PDoA combined judgment unlocks only when continuously approaching from outside, avoiding indoor false triggers.

Cross-ecosystem

Aliro 1.0 standardized protocol is designed for interoperability with leading wallet ecosystems, subject to platform onboarding, licensing and certification.

Full-stack solution

Chip + Aliro/FiRa protocol stack + SDK + reference design + certification support lets lock makers focus on product definition. Custom private interaction protocols are also supported, with no related certification required.

Radar extension

The same UWB receiver can be extended with radar sensing to proactively detect approach and trigger authentication, lowering power use.

Inside/outside judgment and direction finding

Single distance is not enough to judge inside vs. outside or approach direction; we combine distance, angle, path direction and history so the lock unlocks only when continuously approaching from outside.

  • Six-step secure decision: discovery → authentication → ranging → side judgment → decision → execution
  • Dual-antenna direction-finding baseline recognizes left / center / right approach
  • Any critical-state failure triggers delay, downgrade or rejection
Distance + direction + path + state build a trusted unlock zone

UWB radar sensing and proactive trigger

UWB radar detects people, approach direction, dwell and departure; combined with the digital key it enables intelligent linkage.

Customer pain point

Today's setups need two separate systems: one for radar sensing and one for identity authentication. High cost, complex integration.

Product value

  • Radar detects approach and proactively triggers ranging authentication
  • Fewer extra sensors and on-demand triggering lower power consumption
  • Same UWB receiver hardware reused to extend proactive sensing experiences
UWB Radar is not used for authorization decisions and is outside the scope of Aliro 1.0 certification.
Certification support

Aliro Test Harness passed

Chipsbank CBU5000V210 software and hardware meet Aliro requirements and have passed Aliro official Test Harness Run 86.

  • Test Harness Run 86, Reader, BLE+UWB, PASSED
  • Full flow support from product definition, lock integration, prototype pre-validation to CSA certification application
  • Seven-step production path: definition → integration → prototype validation → Test Harness → lab test → CSA review → formal certification
Test Harness pass does not equal CSA formal certification; full certification follows product scope, PICS, lab testing and CSA process.
