ABI Research forecasts that global shipments of UWB devices will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 14% over the next five years, from 435 million units in 2023 to nearly 1.3 billion in 2028. Last year, 21% of smartphone shipments included UWB technology, including phones from Apple, Samsung, Google and Xiaomi; according to ABI Research, by 2028 almost half of all smartphones will include UWB.
